If you live California counties and purchased gas between February 20, 2015 and November 10, 2015 in one of ten southern Californian counties (or live out of state or on behalf of a business between February 18, 2015 and May 31, 2017) you might be eligible for a class action rebate. The counties are: Los Angeles, San Diego, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, Kern, Ventura, Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, and/or Imperial.
It was alleged that gas trading firms participated in market manipulation and price gouging. They admit no wrong doing but have agreed to a $50 million settlement. You must submit a claim by January 10, 2025. The official website is: https://calgaslitigation.com/.
As always with these settlements you might as well participate unless you plan to file your own legal action.
