The Offer
Check your emails for the following offer from U.S. Bank (sender: 1800USBanks@email.usbank.com):
- Enroll to earn an additional 2,500 points when you pay two or more recurring bills, like cell phone, utilities and internet, with your U.S. Bank business card by June 30, 2025.
The Fine Print
- This offer runs April 1 – June 30, 2025 (promotion period), and you need to enroll by April 30, 2025. To be eligible for the offer, you must set up and pay two recurring bills with the same qualifying provider twice or two different qualifying providers by June 30, 2025. If you qualify, the 2,500 points award will be applied to your account 2-3 billing cycles after the end of the promotion period. The maximum number of points awards is one. This offer is not transferable. Your account must remain open and be in good standing (not past due or overlimit) to qualify. This offer may not apply if your credit card has changed to a different type of card within the last 12 weeks or changes before the points award is applied. U.S. Bank cannot control how merchants choose to identify their business and/or classify purchases and reserves the right to determine which purchases qualify. Contact your billers to learn what types of payments they accept; not all billers accept credit card payments. If you have any questions, call Cardmember Service at 866-485-4545.
Our Verdict
We’re hearing about this offer on various U.S. Bank business cards. Mine came on a Leverage card with an impending annual fee; I’ll probably give this offer a miss since I don’t know that the points will be there before I close out the card.
It should be possible to game this offer by making two payments now for $1, e.g. one for your internet and one for you gas, then do another $1 payment in a month on each of them. (It’s possible you don’t even have to wait between the payments.)
