Dell Credit
Reported by DDG, the Dell credit on the American Express Business Platinum card will be going down from $400 per year to $150 per year. Here is the new offering, starting July 1, 2025:
- “Enrolled Business Platinum Card Members can get up to $150 in statement credits on U.S. purchases made directly with Dell and an additional $1,000 statement credit after they spend $5,000 or more on those purchases from July 1-Dec 31, 2025 (and for each calendar year after), totaling up to $1,150 in Dell statement credits.”
The wording is pretty clear that it’ll be one time per year $150 credit. For 2025, it’s not a big loss – it’ll go down from $200 to $150 for the second half of the year. But the wording implies that for 2026 and beyond it will be $150 across the entire year, down from $200 + $200 in the two halves of the year.
They’re also adding $1,000 off $5,000 which won’t be useful to our readers.
Adobe Credit
Separately, the Adobe credit is changing from a flat $150-off-$150 to $250-off-$600:
- “Enrolled Business Platinum Card Members can get a $250 statement credit after they spend $600 or more on U.S. purchases made directly with Adobe from July 1-Dec 31, 2025 (and for each calendar year after).”
Our Verdict
I guess Amex can call the Dell benefit now “a $1,150 value”? Haha. I never valued the Dell benefit much, though I tried to use it for whatnot. Maybe Amex will release another benefit to offset this loss. We’ll see. (Edit: actually, they already released a few months ago the Hilton $200 in annual credits, so I’m not too sure we’ll see anything more.)
As always, be sure to enroll in the Dell and Adobe credit before use. You only have to enroll once when you get the card and then the credit continues to renew automatically.
